There are lots of rumors about the coyotes in Central Park. After talking to some folks who have been watching them for over a year, it seems most likely that we have only a pair in the park. While folks have seen them all over the park, the same pair been tracked going between the locations they have been sighted in. There also doesn’t seem to be any evidence that they have been breeding in the park just yet.

A few days ago, I saw one where it often sleeps during the day, and then a pair a bit later. I thought at first we might have three, but I was assured that it was just one of the pair and that they often sleep apart.
